Tort Law can occur if you or someone you know has been injured  and it was someone else’s fault. If this occurs, you may be able to receive compensation for the medical costs and loss of wages that result.

Tort is made up of four elements including a presence of a civil duty. As a society, we have a duty to not endanger others unnecessarily and if this civil duty is broken it brings up to the second element, a breach of that civil duty.

The third element of tort law is that some type of injury must occur  because it is the foundation of any tort case. Finally, the breach of duty must have caused the incident and the injury to occur.
